Justice McDADE delivered the judgment of the court, with opinion.

¶ 1 Cindy Sweeney, the defendant, pled guilty to driving while her license was suspended. 625 ILCS 5/6-303(d-1) (West 2004). The court imposed a 6-year term of imprisonment, but stayed the mittimus for 30 months and allowed the defendant to remain free on a recognizance bond.
