Justice McDADE delivered the judgment of the court, with opinion.

¶ 1 Following an adjudication hearing, the trial court found that A.P. (age 3) and J.P. (age 7) were neglected due to an environment injurious to their welfare (705 ILCS 405/2-3(1)(b) (West 2010)).
