OPINION

Justice HARRIS delivered the judgment of the court, with opinion.

¶ 1 Plaintiffs Farid Karimi and Mahmobah Kashani appeal the trial court's dismissal of their first amended complaint pursuant to section 2-615 of the Code of Civil Procedure (735 ILCS 5/2-615 (West 2006)). On appeal, plaintiffs contend the trial court erred in dismissing counts I through VI of their complaint.1
