Following a simultaneous but severed jury trial with codefendant Karl Askew1, defendant, Daniel Jimerson, was found guilty of four counts of aggravated battery to a peace officer (720 ILCS 5/12-4(b)(6) (West 2006)) and one count of mob action (720 ILCS 5/25-1(a)(1) (West 2006)).
