The defendant, Irit Gutman, was convicted, following a bench trial, of vendor fraud (305 ILCS 5/8A-3 (West 2000)), theft (720 ILCS 5/16-1 (West 2000)), and money laundering (720 ILCS 5/29B-1 (West 2000)). The trial court sentenced her to 66 months' imprisonment and ordered her to pay $1.2 million in restitution.
