Defendant, Matthew Loerop, entered an open plea of guilty to driving while under the influence of alcohol (DUI) (625 ILCS 5/11-501(a)(2) (West 2006)), as adopted by a Wheaton ordinance. The trial court sentenced him to one year of supervision and fined him $750.
