Defendant, Teryck Taylor, appeals from his conviction of theft of property worth less than $300 (720 ILCS 5/16-1(a)(1)(A), (b)(1) (West 2004)). He contends that the evidence was insufficient to prove his guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. He further contends that, because the State failed to lay a proper foundation under the silent-witness approach to authentication for the admission of a surveillance-type videotape...
