Following a bench trial, defendant Main Street Liquors was found to be in violation of the Equal Pay Act (the Act) (820 ILCS 112/1 et seq. (2006)) for paying a female employee, Mary Arrington, less than a male employee for substantially similar work. Main Street Liquors was ordered to pay Arrington $4,061.25 in back wages.
