Respondent, Samantha V., was found delinquent in the circuit court of Cook County for two offenses, aggravated battery that caused great bodily harm (720 ILCS 5/12-4(a) (West 2004)) and aggravated battery on a public way (720 ILCS 5/12-4(b)(8) (West 2004)).
