The defendant, Thomas L. Zimmerman, was found guilty of two counts of aggravated discharge of a firearm (720 ILCS 5/24-1.2(a)(2) (West 2006)) and one count of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon (720 ILCS 5/24-1.6(a)(2) (West 2006)). The defendant was sentenced to 4 years of probation and 180 days in jail, time served, for the aggravated discharge of a firearm convictions, but received no sentence for the aggravated...
