The defendant, Orencio Serrano, appeals from the dismissal of his pro se petition for post-judgment relief filed pursuant to section 2-1401 of the Code of Civil Procedure (the Code) (735 ILCS 5/2-1401 (West 2006)). On appeal, he contends that he did not receive the benefit of his negotiated plea bargain as a result of the trial court's failure to specifically admonish him that his concurrent 14-year sentences...
