Defendant, Darrion O. Foote, was charged with aggravated battery (720 ILCS 5/12-4(b)(6) (West 2002)). Following a stipulated bench trial, he was found guilty and sentenced to eight years' imprisonment to be served consecutive to a six-year term imposed for a separate conviction of armed robbery.
