In March 2008, a jury found defendant, Mark Outlaw, guilty of unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver (720 ILCS 570/401(a)(2)(B) (West 2006)). In May 2008, the trial court sentenced defendant to 28 years' imprisonment.
