Justice McBRIDE delivered the opinion of the court:

Following a jury trial, defendant Morris E. Carter III, who appeared pro se at trial, was convicted for possession with intent to deliver more than 100 grams, but less than 400 grams of cocaine and possession with intent to deliver more than 500 grams, but less than 2,000 grams of cannabis. The trial court subsequently sentenced him to concurrent terms of 12 years...
