Chase Griffin's rear license plate was shrouded with a tinted plastic cover. The cover made it difficult for Iowa State Patrol troopers to read Griffin's rear license plate. The troopers stopped Griffin to warn him that the cover violated Iowa law. During the stop, the troopers gained evidence that led to criminal charges against Griffin...
