Gabriel Taylor was convicted of first-degree robbery for a crime he committed when he was seventeen years of age. As required by statute, Taylor was sentenced to a term of imprisonment not to exceed twenty-five years. Another statute required Taylor to serve at least seventy percent of his sentence before he was eligible for parole.
