In this appeal, we must decide whether the workers' compensation commissioner erred in awarding benefits from the Second Injury Fund (the Fund) to a claimant who sustained successive injuries in the course of her employment. The district court reversed the commissioner's decision, concluding the Fund has no liability in this case because the claimant failed to prove she sustained a second qualifying injury.
