This case provides the first occasion for this court to determine the validity of a premarital agreement under Iowa Code section 596.8. Upon further review of the court of appeals' affirmance of the district court's order denying a request for specific performance of a premarital agreement, we conclude the agreement was voluntarily executed, conscionable, and enforceable.
