In 2001, a jury convicted Defendant-Appellant Scott Brian Smith (Smith) of assault, terroristic threatening, sexual assault, and kidnapping. The Circuit Court of the Second Circuit sentenced him to concurrent and consecutive prison terms totaling 45 years (Original Sentence).
