Teresa Jean Spann was arrested in May 2007 for driving under the influence. She was convicted in August 2010 after a stipulated bench trial, and in her first appeal, she contended that the trial court erred by admitting evidence of a prior similar offense and by not allowing the issuance of an out-of-state subpoena.
