A jury convicted Alphonzo Jamal Lewis of aggravated assault (family violence) for hitting the victim with his "hands, fists, and/or feet" and with battery (family violence) by striking her with a curtain rod. The trial court sentenced him as a recidivist to twenty years, to serve five years in prison followed by fifteen years on probation. On appeal, Lewis enumerates eleven errors, but argues six, involving the admission of similar transaction...
