In this case of first impression, we are called upon to interpret the provisions of OCGA § 17-7-50.1(a), establishing a time limit for the presentment of a juvenile's case to a grand jury in superior court. Because the State failed to meet the time limit for presenting the case to the grand jury, the case should have been returned to the juvenile court.
