ELLINGTON, Judge.

A Columbia County jury found Michael Ward guilty beyond a reasonable doubt of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, OCGA § 16-11-131. He appeals from the denial of his motion for a new trial, contending that the trial court erred in "complimenting" a witness for the State following the witness' testimony. For the following reasons, we affirm.
