Eugene McClam was convicted by a jury of aggravated stalking and was sentenced as a recidivist to ten years, seven to serve in confinement. Subsequent to his trial, McClam sought to enter into a post-conviction agreement with the state under which he offered to testify against a fellow inmate in exchange for a lesser sentence of seven years, two to serve.
