Don Akridge appeals an order in a garnishment proceeding that he had initiated after obtaining a money judgment against Kathy Nicotra. The order allowed Antonio Silva to intervene in the proceeding and held that Silva, not Nicotra, was the owner of funds at issue in the proceeding. On appeal, Akridge contends that OCGA § 18-4-89 required the court to disburse the funds to him, that Silva did not assert his claim to the funds in a timely manner...
