Matthew Stephon Savage was convicted by a jury of sixteen charges arising out of the armed robbery of two Dollar General stores in Rome, Floyd County, one on North Broad Street (Counts 1 through 8) and the other on Dean Avenue (Counts 9 through 16).1 He was sentenced to serve a total of 15 years in prison.
