Jeremiah Brown was seriously injured in a collision involving his automobile and a tractor-trailer owned by Browning Trucking Company. Brown sued the trucking company and others for damages and, during the course of that litigation, the Superior Court of Laurens County ruled that an insurance policy issued by the trucking company's insurer, QBE Insurance Corporation, was in effect at the time of the collision.
