The appellants, Gerard Character and Terrence Roberts, appeal from their convictions for numerous crimes, including the murder of Jerry Lovejoy and Leonard Justice and the aggravated assault of Joseph Tharpe, stemming from an incident at the Poole Palace night-club on February 10, 2002. Gerard's brother, Marcus Character, was also convicted of the foregoing murders and aggravated assault, but his appeal was dismissed as untimely.
