Tethine Thomas was convicted of voluntary manslaughter and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony based on the shooting death of the 14-year-old victim, B.W. Thomas argues that the state failed to disprove his claim of self-defense and that his convictions were therefore unauthorized. He also argues that the trial court erred in denying his motion to dismiss on constitutional speedy trial grounds. We discern no error and affirm.<...
