A Fulton County jury convicted Ali Nejad of rape, aggravated sodomy, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon (two counts), and aggravated battery (two counts). Nejad was also indicted on the charge of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, but the trial court directed a verdict on that count.
