In 2005, Rodney Denson pled guilty to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon against his wife, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and cruelty to children in the first degree and nolo contendere to a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon against his stepdaughter. He was sentenced to 22 years in prison followed by 13 years on probation. In 2007, he filed a petition for writ of habeas corpus alleging a violation...
