Appellant, Kathy Dent, appeals her conviction for engaging in an organized scheme to defraud, in violation of section 817.034(4), Florida Statutes. The state charged and proved that Dent and others manipulated the Sheriff's overtime assignment computer system to secure more hospital guard overtime assignments than the Sheriff's policy would allow. As a result, Dent worked those assignments, earning overtime pay...
