Kevin Jerome Scott, who was twentytwo years old at the time of the crime, was convicted of first-degree murder, attempted armed robbery, and aggravated battery due to his role in the June 30, 2007, coin laundry robbery, which resulted in the shooting death of Kristo Binjaku. Scott appeals his first-degree murder conviction and sentence of death. We have mandatory jurisdiction. See art. V, § 3(b)(1), Fla. Const. For the reasons more fully explained...
