Thomas Linzy and his employer, Erosion Stopper, Inc., the defendants below, appeal the trial court's order granting the motion for new trial filed by Dewey and Jennifer Rayburn, husband and wife, the plaintiffs below. The defendants argue that the trial court erred in granting the motion because defense counsel's statements during his closing argument were not improper or, in the alternative, did not rise to a level warranting a new trial.
