MGM Construction Services Corp. ("the Subcontractor") appeals from a summary final judgment in favor of Maleta Construction Co. ("the Contractor"), Travelers Casualty & Surety Co. of America ("Travelers"), and the University of Miami ("UM"). The trial court determined that as a matter of law, a subcontract entered into with an unlicensed subcontractor should be automatically dishonored in the courts of Miami-Dade County.
