The appellant appeals a judgment and sentence after a jury convicted her of grand theft of between $10,000 and $20,000 and contracting without a general contractor's license during a state of emergency. At the close of the state's case the defense presented two motions for judgment of acquittal, arguing that the state failed to meet its burden to demonstrate beyond a reasonable doubt that the appellant had committed these offenses.
