Plaintiff, John Thigpen, appeals the trial court's order setting aside a jury verdict for plaintiff and granting the defendant, United Parcel Services, Inc. (UPS,) a new trial. The trial court granted the new trial after determining that it had erroneously admitted irrelevant and unfairly prejudicial evidence, which resulted in an excessive verdict.
