PER CURIAM.

Appellant challenges the denial of his rule 3.850 motion which asserted the trial court's imposition of a departure sentence, based upon a finding that appellant's prior convictions indicated an escalating pattern of criminal activity, violated the tenets of Apprendi v. New Jersey, 530 U.S. 466, 120 S.Ct. 2348, 147 L.Ed.2d 435 (2000), as clarified by Blakely v. Washington, 542 U.S. 296
