Plaintiff Sue-Zanne Mann charges defendant James A. Darden (an officer with the Prattville, Alabama Police Department) with state-law battery for tasing her twice while she was a patient in the hospital. This case is currently before the court on Mann's motion for a new trial after a jury found against her on the battery claim.
