Defendant Mary Vernon was convicted by a jury on five counts of attempted tax evasion, in violation of 26 U.S.C. § 7201. Vernon was sentenced to a total term of imprisonment of 41 months, to be followed by a three-year term of supervised release, and ordered to pay $311,157 in restitution to the Internal Revenue Service...
