Two sophisticated parties negotiated an agreement for one to buy oil-and-gas leases from the other for $35 million. Three months after signing, the buyer unilaterally terminated the agreement. A jury found that the buyer had no right to terminate in this way and awarded the seller the $3.5 million escrow...
