Plaintiff-Appellant Tony W. Strickland's limited funds include those that he obtained from a workers' compensation settlement after suffering a permanent disability on the job and those that he receives from his Social Security disability payments. He keeps these funds in two bank accounts that he shares with his wife, who, like Strickland, is entirely dependent on the funds in the accounts to live. Luckily for Strickland, the law protects...
