Charles Warren and Robert Warren brought suit against Chesapeake Exploration, L.L.C. and Chesapeake Operating, Inc. (collectively the Chesapeake Entities), claiming that they breached royalty provisions in oil and gas leases by deducting post-production costs from the sales proceeds of natural gas. The Javeeds (Abdul and Joan Javeed) later joined the suit, asserting similar claims. The plaintiffs appeal the district court's dismissal...
