The Fourth Amendment to the United States Constitution protects individuals from unreasonable searches and seizures: "The right of the people to be secure ... against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated[.]" U.S. Const. amend. IV. A search can be "unreasonable" in a variety of ways, but, quintessentially, a search is "unreasonable" if it is unsupported by probable cause, that is, where the known facts and circumstances are insufficient...
