REINHARDT, Circuit Judge:

IMM, a juvenile, appeals his conviction under 18 U.S.C. §§ 2241 and 2246 for sexually abusing his six year old cousin. To convict him of sexual abuse, the government had to prove beyond a reasonable doubt "contact between the penis and the vulva or the penis and the anus," with "contact" defined as "penetration, however slight." § 2246(2)(A).
