The Plaintiff in this case, Patrick Hurley, sued the Defendants for violating the Family Medical Leave Act ("FMLA"). See 29 U.S.C. § 2615 (providing a cause of action for interfering with an employee's FMLA rights). Hurley, who suffers from depression, contends that the Defendants wrongfully denied his request for eleven weeks of vacation time and terminated his employment.
