A Florida resident retained lawyers in an Ohio law firm's District of Columbia office to represent him in a matter pending in Oregon. When the client refused to pay for services rendered, the firm sued in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia, and the court dismissed the case for lack of personal jurisdiction.
