A jury convicted Omari Elliot of two counts of robbery, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 1951, and one count of brandishing a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 924(c)(1)(A)(ii). The district court imposed a total life sentence after determining Elliot had two prior felony convictions qualifying him for a career offender enhancement under U.S.S.G. § 4B1.1.
