Early on July 14, 2006, Maurice Anderson fired at least two shots in a crowded bar in St. Paul, Minnesota, killing Julian Roland and wounding two bystanders. After a lengthy trial in Ramsey County District Court, the jury acquitted Anderson of the offenses charged in the amended criminal complaint — second-degree intentional murder of Roland and attempted second-degree intentional murder of the bystanders — but found him guilty...
