Appellants Jimmy Carrasquillo-Rodríguez ("Carrasquillo") and Jesús Pabellón Rodríguez ("Pabellón") were convicted on drug and gun charges that arose from a reverse sting operation orchestrated by federal Drug Enforcement Administration ("DEA") agents seeking to stem the flow of illegal narcotics from the Dominican Republic to Puerto Rico.
